Dream Questions - The Deceased

Dream of Heaven's Gate Dream Question: Please give me guidance. I dreamt last night (right before my alarm went off), that I was sitting in a chair, looking down, when all of a sudden someone stood before me. When I looked up, it was my deceased father and he was holding a jacket, which I believe was my son's.

My father had a big smile on his face. At that point, he put his arm around me. Now, about the jacket - I've been asking my son where his jacket is and he tells me it's in his car, but it isn't. then he tells me he left it in his friends car. Please advise me on my dream because I'm going out of my mind with worry.

Answer: You are obviously worried about something and your dream seems to be an attempt to set your mind at ease. The jacket could represent a waking worry about a concealment or cover-up of some kind (regarding your son) and you are using an aspect that you relate to your Father to comfort you.

Dreaming of the deceased doesn't necessarily mean that it is really them contacting you with dire news. If it really was your Father - it seemed to me that he was just saying "Don't worry about it!"

Dream Question: In 1995 my uncle got killed and last week I had a dream I met him on a bridge with water under it. He said he wasn’t dead. I woke up crying. What do you think it means?

Answer: Some people think that dreams like this really mean that you are in communication with that person on some level. Who knows? It's certainly possible. What do YOU believe about that?

I would consider the saying "water under the bridge" as a metaphor for something that your dreaming mind came up with to represent a situation. Perhaps you are coming to terms with something in your current life that is connected to your uncle?

Your beliefs will dictate how you perceive something, so ask yourself what you believe about this dream and go with the answer.

Dream Sunset Dream Question: I keep having a dream where my deceased mother is angry at me. I am with my whole family and she ignores me and wants nothing to do with me.

Answer: I would say this most likely represents a particular emotion that you are feeling on some level and is being brought to your awareness.

Emotional reactions to situations in life is something that we learn as a child in our environment, including the family...and particularly from Mom.

The Moon
Did you know...

...that not everybody dreams in color? Roughly 10% of the population dreams only in black and white, or at least what they can remember.

Everyone else dreams in full color, dreaming in black and white only occassionaly.

Research suggests that before black and white movies and TV, there wasn't any mention of dreaming in black and white.

For myself, the few times I remember dreaming in black and white, the dreams did have an 'old movie' quality to it with the same old fashioned melodramatic acting.
